How do I book my hotel reservations?

The Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center is the official headquarters hotel for Hospital Medicine 2011. Reservations can be made by calling
(817) 778-2000 and referring to the Society of Hospital Medicine's room block or online at www.hospitalmedicine.org/annualmeetinghotel.

Discounted rates are available for reservations made on or before April 12, 2011 at $220.00 (single/double plus tax). After April 12th, reservations will be confirmed on a space available basis at the prevailing rack rate.

I am a faculty member; how do I make my hotel and travel arrangements?

What transportation is available to/from the airport?

Approximate cost for a one - way shuttle or a taxi from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to the Gaylord Texan is $12.00.

What is the best way to plan my Hospital Medicine 2011 experience? Will I be given a syllabus with copies of the speaker's slides on site?

Syllabus materials will be provided on site for all Pre-Courses. Materials for the May 11-13, 2011 sessions are available prior to arriving on-site. We strongly encourage you to print the materials for the sessions you choose to attend prior to your arrival. In addition, please be sure to review the block schedule so you can maximize your experience at the meeting and attend the sessions that interest you most.

What are the hours of the Exhibit Hall?

The Exhibit Hall will be open to attendees are as follows:

May 11, 2011:

• Exhibit Hours - 7:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m.; 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
• Breakfast - 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.
• Break - 10:00 a.m. - 10:35 a.m.
• Lunch Break – 11:50 a.m. – 1:10 p.m. (provided by SHM)
• Break – 2:25 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
• Poster & Exhibit Reception - 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

May 12, 2011:

• Exhibit Hours - 7:00 a.m. - 1:45 p.m.
• Breakfast - 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.
• Break - 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
• Lunch - 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m (on your own)

What is the early registration date?

Attendees who register by April 3, 2011 will receive discounted registration for the Pre-Courses and Annual Meeting. Save money by registering early and online!

What is the cancellation/refund policy/disclaimer for Hospital Medicine 2011?

Notice of registration cancellation must be made in writing via mail, fax, or email. Cancellations will not be accepted by telephone.

The postmark, fax or email date will determine your refund using the following schedule:

• Full Refund........................................................Prior to February 21, 2011
• Full Refund (less $50 administrative fee).............Between February 21 – March 21, 2011
• Full Refund (less $100 administrative fee)........Between March 22 – April 19, 2011
• No Refund....................................................................After April 19, 2011
